"What framework will replace Scrum?" is the wrong question.
It's the people who've missed the point on Agile and Scrum who make such a statement. Just because a team stops doing Scrum, doesn’t mean they need to start using another framework as a viable alternative.
We don't need ‘instant ramen’ frameworks, we need people who deeply understand principles, the different practices a our disposal, when they work and when they don’t work.
Besides that, instant ramen is a lie.
Yes, it’s instant. No, it’s not ramen.
Just like ‘instant ramen’ frameworks won’t result in Agile teams.
Knowing what you're doing will always be superior to any 'instant ramen' framework that, at best, offers the tiniest hint of the real thing.
Copy-Paste Agile is easy, just like instant ramen. But it won’t produce the results you’re looking for and you’ll only end up with a big, hot, and salty mess.
Hi 🙂 well, frameworks are generally limiting plus I don’t think there are many organizations having the Scrum mode 100% implemented. I tend to think I worked in the Scrum environments many times - yet, I know these were hybrids most of the times. And for many good reasons. So, Scrum is nothing but a buzzword imho.
Nicely put. Frameworks create boundaries and structure, but if we don't understand the principles, and have not taken time to gain practical skills, they will not help. Ikea has excellent structure, but if I'm told to go there to "get stuff" with no idea of what, or why, I'll wonder around, get overwhelmed, and leave annoyed, saying Ikea is rubbish. That's how people probably feel when told to do Scrum with no idea why.
